Hey gang! We hope everyone has been having an awesome November! Since our last update, we've been hard at work writing The Crooked Moon and reaching out to awesome potential partners with tons of industry experience to ensure that we deliver you the best possible 5E supplement we can!
Backerkit Survey Update!
And most importantly, we've been working on the Backerkit Survey to get ready. Since this is our first rodeo, we want to make sure we get this right, so we're taking extra time and precautions as we get all our ducks in a row. Our plan is to send out at the end of November or early December at the latest. Thanks so much for your patience as you await it!
On December 1st, playtest material will become available! We're still deciding the best way to distribute these materials, so stay tuned closer to the playtest date.
2 weeks later, a Google Form will be made public to collect feedback with clear specifications of what we're looking for.
You will have 2 Months to play games and submit feedback to the form, which will Close January 31st, 2024.
Next, we wanted to let you all know about an awesome board game that's live on Kickstarter now called Ring of Chaos by our friends at Beadle and Grimm's, including the one and only Matthew Lillard of Scream, Scooby Doo, and FNAF fame!
The game is a chaotic free-for-all themed around classic DnD tropes that's sure to lead to epic moments and lots of laughs with your friends, so check them out before the campaign ends December 5th!
To celebrate the launch of the campaign, our friend Matthew Lillard came out to play a D&D one-shot based on Ring of Chaos. It was an absolute joy to play with Matthew, and things sure got pretty wild immediately! You can watch the session here:
We're Guests at PAX Unplugged!
Do you want to talk to us about The Crooked Moon in person? We're excited to announce that we're special guests at PAX Unplugged, December 1st-3rd in Philadelphia, PA! We'll be doing a Crooked Moon-themed live show that will also be streamed on the PAX Twitch channel, and hosting an official Avantris meet-up. If you're going to be there, come say hi!

Now that The Crooked Moon Kickstarter campaign has concluded, the work continues as we strive to finish writing the book and get everything manufactured! While we work on that, here is what you can expect to come next.
Backerkit Survey Is Coming!
In a little less than 3 weeks, all backers will be receiving their Backerkit survey. When you receive the email, you will be brough to a survey where you will be able to do the following:
Give us your shipping information
Upgrade your pledge level
Add any desired add-ons
Opt-in to receive your free dice if eligible (Both the free Horned King set for early backers and the KS-Exclusive Pumpkin King set)
Confirm your VIP status to receive your Chuckles pin and/or Honk Legion mini-expansion if eligible (Unlocked by giving the $1 to join our pre-launch VIP program)
Tax and Shipping will NOT be collected with the Backerkit survey. You will pay both when we fulfill The Crooked Moon next year.
Playtesting Is Around the Corner!
If you've backed The Crooked Moon campaign and are itching to try out the player options, you won't have to wait too much longer! We will begin the Alpha Playtest for player options later this year. We will have all the playtest details for you when the time comes, but get your party ready and prepare to play at the end of this year and the beginning of 2024!

Our hearts are so full.
You all have made our dreams a reality and pushed The Crooked Moon to be the biggest 5E Kickstarter of all time and the first to hit $4 Million! On behalf of everyone here at Avantris, thank you SO MUCH for the amazing support!
The Crooked Moon is now available for pre-order, now that the campaign has concluded! We'll be honoring all of the same tiers, add-ons, and pricing of the campaign. So if you discovered The Crooked Moon late or didn't have time to save up the funds before the campaign ended, you can snag the same rewards! The only things not available are the Pumpkin King dice set and getting your name in the book from the All-In Box, which were only available while the campaign was live.
Final Stretch Goal Unlocked: More Music!
In the final moments of the campaign, we hit our final stretch goal! That's right, there will be THREE entire albums by The Blasting Company produced for The Crooked Moon! Joining the roster is an album of epic, high-tempo music perfect for combat against the bosses, monsters, and antagonists of The Crooked Moon!
This, plus our initial soundtrack and the atmospheric album, will be released in conjunction with the book so you can vibe to spooky tunes while you play your own folk horror adventure! And finally, we will work on producing a super premium collector's vinyl set of all 3 albums, to be made available for sale at a later date.

This morning, The Crooked Moon became the biggest 5E Kickstarter campaign OF ALL TIME. When we first set out on this adventure and decided to take on the biggest project of our lives, we never dreamed that we'd break history.
$3.5 Million Stretch Goal: Tokens Unlocked!
And just now on Halloween night, we just smashed our $3.5 Million stretch goal! That unlocks a few things!
